1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Luma (www.luma-stories.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Luma.

2. Service Description

Luma is an AI-powered children's storytelling platform that generates personalized, child-safe stories for parents to share with their children. The service includes story generation, audio narration, story playlists, story series, and a community Story Palace.

3. Account Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account.
• Accounts are intended for parents and guardians only.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts.

4. Free and Premium Plans

Free plan:

• Up to 4 stories per month.
• Text-only stories (no audio narration).
• Limited Story Palace access.

Premium plan:

• Up to 20 stories per month (additional credits may be granted).
• Audio narration with voice selection and speed control.
• Variable story lengths.
• Playlists and story series.
• Unlimited Story Palace access.
• Background music during playback.

5. Subscription and Billing

• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@luma-stories.com for refund requests.
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Content Safety

All stories generated by Luma follow strict child-safety guidelines. Stories are designed for children under 10 and will never contain violence, weapons, death, fear, adult themes, or inappropriate content.

User-provided prompts are screened for inappropriate content. Requests containing violent, abusive, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate language will be blocked. Luma reserves the right to suspend accounts that repeatedly attempt to generate inappropriate content.

7. AI-Generated Content

• Stories are generated by artificial intelligence (OpenAI) and may occasionally contain errors or unexpected content.
• While we implement safety filters, we cannot guarantee that every story will be perfectly suitable for every child.
• Parents are encouraged to review stories before sharing them with children.
• Luma is not responsible for any distress caused by AI-generated content.

8. Your Content

• Stories generated through your account belong to you.
• By sharing a story to Story Palace, you grant Luma a non-exclusive license to display that story to other users.
• You may remove your stories from Story Palace at any time.
• You may not use Luma to generate content for commercial resale without written permission.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to generate harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content.
• Attempt to bypass content safety filters.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Use automated tools to mass-generate stories.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the service.
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep Luma available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.

11. Limitation of Liability

Luma is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Luma shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@luma-stories.com. Upon termination, your stories and personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
